The foreign office of Pakistan summoned Indian Charge d’Affaires Guarav Ahluwalia to register Pakistan’s strong protest over ceasefire violations by Indian armed forces along the Line of Control (LoC), here on Thursday.
According to the details, the Director-General (SA and SAARC) Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry called the Indian envoy for ceasefire violations along the LoC on June 17, after four innocent civilians were martyred and one injured. Due to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing by the Indian armed forces in Bagsar and Nikial sectors of the LoC, three residents of Ratta Jabbar village in Nikial sector were martyred. They were identified as 27-year-old Razeem, 25-year-old Tehzeeb, 13-year-old Ali Maroof.
In Lewana Khaiter village in Bagsar sector 60-year-old, Rasheeda Bibi was martyred, whereas 61-year-old Muhammad Hussain sustained serious injuries.
The Indian occupation forces along the LoC and Working Boundary have continuously been targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire, heavy-calibre mortars and automatic weapons.
