Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi reaches United Arab Emirates (UAE) on a three-day visit on Saturday (today).
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MofA), during the visit FM Qureshi will meet his counterpart, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other UAE dignitaries. The Foreign Minister will also meet Pakistani diaspora and interact with local and international media.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi will hold consultations with the UAE’s leadership on all areas of bilateral cooperation including collaboration in trade and investment, job opportunities for Pakistani workforce and the welfare of Pakistani diaspora.

Furthermore, the foreign minister will also discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest. It is to be noted that the visit holds key significance as the UAE is home to the second largest Pakistani community abroad.
This is Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s second visit to UAE in less than a year as he visited the gulf nation back in December 2020 last year.
FM Qureshi’s visit to UAE is part of his tour during which he is scheduled to visit three other countries as well namely Qatar, Iran and Turkey.
In Turkey, Shah Mahmood Qureshi is likely to take part in the UN conference on Afghanistan. The forum is expected to mull over developing a consensus among key stakeholders of the Afghan peace process.
