Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi along with Defence Minister Pervez Khattak visited Line of Control (LOC), as Pakistan renamed Kashmir Highway to Srinagar Highway in a bid to show solidarity with the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).
FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Defence Minister Pervez Khattak along with Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on National Security Moeed Yusuf visited the LOC on Monday (today) to express solidarity with Pakistani troops and the people of Azad Kashmir who are subjected to unprovoked cross-border shelling by Indian forces along the de facto border.
During the visit, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi stated reiterated Pakistan’s undeterred and unconditional support to the people of Kashmir in their struggle against illegal Indian occupation.

Meanwhile, Pakistan also renamed Kashmir Highway as ‘Srinagar Highway’ to mark the one year anniversary of abrogation of Article 370 of the Indian constitution by Narendra Modi led BJP government, revoking the special status of disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The renamed highway will be inaugurated on August 5 on Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir.
