Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Tuesday, met with Christian Turner – British High Commissioner to discuss bilateral relations and matters of mutual interests in federal capital.
The two mulled over bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between two countries.
The Foreign Minister highlighted that Pakistan and Britain have longstanding history of bilateral relations and share extensive matters of mutual concerns.
Furthermore, Shah Mahmood Qureshi highlighted Indian atrocities by Indian forces in disputed region of Jammu and Kashmir. He urged the international community to play its due role in the resolution of Kashmir issue in accordance with the UN Security Council Resolutions.
Meanwhile, Christian Turner praised Pakistan’s efforts and progressive role in facilitating Afghan Peace Process.
He also lauded Pakistan’s successful strategy to tackle COVID-19 outbreak in the country, saving precious loss of lives.
In addition to it, matters pertaining to cooperation in education and tourism sector were also discussed during the meeting.
