Five people have been reported to be injured in the blast that took place at Peshawar’s Rampura Gate business centre on Monday.
As per the details, five people including two traffic police members and a shopkeeper have sustained injuries from the blast, who have been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital for treatment.
According to Shafqat Malik – Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG), the cause of the blast has been identified as a two-kilogram improvised explosive device (IED) which was placed on the roadside.
Law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have cordoned off the area and have launched a search operation, while further investigation is underway.
