Gwadar: Authorities have suspended all fishing activities in Gwadar in the wake of coronavirus outbreak.
DC Gwadar Captain Mohammad Waseem has advised local fishermen community to abide by the ban on fishing in Arabian Sea and strictly obey the government’s advisories regarding social distancing and other preventive measures to curb the spread of coronavirus.
“Instead of fishing in the sea fishermen should stay at their homes during the lockdown. We have been taking all decisions in best interest of the people of Gwadar,” he noted.
Captain Waseem has warned strict action regarding anyone violating the healthcare guidelines, “Strict action will be taken against the fishermen who violated Covid-19 safety rules,” he stated.
Additionally, all the fishermen who had been detained by Levies force for violating the lockdown have been released after screening and testing them for coronavirus.
