MUZAFFARABAD: on Friday, the first isolation center was inaugurated by Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider that is equipped with modern electro-medical apparatus and trained staff.
The 50-bedded Muzaffarabad Isolation Center has been established in the Officers’ Club at Bank Road in the city. It would later be changed into a cardiac facility with an addition of 100 more beds where angioplasty and angiography shall be performed.
According to Dr. Noman Manzoor, co-incharge of the facility, each isolation ward has 10 beds and there are a total 10 ventilators currently available in the center. The staff consists of 86 members in which doctors, paramedics and others are included who are provided with safety kits.
While speaking to the media, Mr. Haider said that the situation of the coronavirus pandemic in AJK is under control because of “solid precautionary measures taken by the government”.
