Fawad Chaudhry – Federal Minister for Science and Technology, on Monday, announced that first batch of ‘made in Pakistan’ ventilators have been handed over to National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
Minister for Science and Technology took to social media to announce the development that the first batch of locally made ventilators have been handed over to NDMA by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
“A landmark achieved, first batch of made in Pakistan Ventilators handed over to NDMA,” he tweeted.

It is to be noted that coronavirus patients who are severely affected by the novel virus face intense breathing issues and have to be put on ventilators as a last resort.
Till now ventilators were being imported from China, United States and few other countries. The development comes as COVID-19 tally in Pakistan stands at 231,818 cases, with 131,649 recoveries and 4,762 deaths so far.
