Police has registered a First Information Report (FIR) in Swat Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) judge assassination case, arresting five suspects over alleged involvement in the incident.
As per details, Police has registered an FIR at the Chota Lahore police station over the assassination of ATC judge Aftab Afridi along with his wife and two children who were targeted near he Swabi Interchange on Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway on Sunday a day earlier.
Five people have been arrested and are currently being interrogated over alleged involvement in the incident.
It is to be noted that Supreme Court Bar Association President Abdul Lateef Afridi is amongst the seven people named in the case. Other accused include Jamil, Danish Afridi, Jamal Afridi, and Abid Muhammad Shafiq.
According to DPO Mohammad Shoaib has revealed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Peshawar police have formed a joint operation team to investigate the case.
Martyred judge’s son Majid Afridi will have a look at the arrested suspects during an identification parade, said the DPO.

Earlier, PM Imran Khan had also condemned the incident reassuring that perpetrators of this gruesome act will be apprehended and dealt with full severity of the law.
It is to be noted that Justice Afridi (late) was posted at a Swat anti-terrorism court two months ago.
