Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and social media giant Facebook have signed an agreement aimed at improved mutual cooperation against cyber-crimes against women and children.
According to the statement issued on social media, FIA and Facebook officials discussed essential policy changes and measures to prevent cyber harassment against women and children.
During the virtual meeting, Director cyber-crime wing (CCW) Amir Farooqi highlighted the key role played by FIA’s specialized wing in tackling cyber-crime related issues in the country.
As per the new agreement, FIA will appoint focal persons who will approach Facebook officials to obtain essential information and statistics regarding cyber-harassment against women and children.
