Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Farogh Naseem tested positive for novel COVID-19 coronavirus on Wednesday (today).
As per details, Federal Law Ministry spokesperson has confirmed that Barrister Farogh Naseem has tested positive for COVID-19 coronavirus.
Farogh Naseem is said to have quarantined himself at his Karachi residence.
The federal minister will continue performing his duties from home.
The development comes as earlier, Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Muhammad Adil Siddiqui – former minister and member parliament Sindh Assembly (MPA) passed away due to COVID-19 after being treated in a private hospital in Karachi for a few days.
Pakistan’s COVID-19 tally stands at 403,331 cases with 8,166 casualties so far.
A total of 2,829 new cases along with 75 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. Around 345,365 people have successfully recovered from the novel virus whereas 2,244 are still in critical condition.
