Italy has been crowned European champions after beating England in UEFA EURO 2020 final held at Wembley stadium on Sunday a day earlier.

Leonardo Bonucci leveled the score with 1-1 for Italy as the match went into extra time.
With no further scoring, this was the first European Championship final to be decided on penalties since 1976.
Three players fluffed penalties for England, extending their poor record in shootouts and leaving the hosts waiting for another major trophy after the 1966 World Cup. England remains without a major trophy since 1966.
This is the second time Italy have been crowned European champions and comes after the embarrassment of failing even to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
