In the ongoing saga surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the royal couple has reportedly encountered a setback in their Hollywood ambitions, as A-listers in the entertainment industry purportedly distance themselves from the duo in light of the controversy surrounding Omid Scobie’s recently released book, “Endgame.”
Scobie’s book has stirred up both old wounds within the Royal family and introduced new bombshell claims, contributing to the couple’s growing challenges in their Hollywood pursuits.
Despite assertions from sources close to Harry and Meghan that they had no involvement in the book, the repercussions are still being felt.
PR expert Mark Borkowski weighed in on the situation, stating to The Express, “The majority of A-listers have distanced themselves from Harry and Meghan.
That is also a defeat.” Borkowski described the couple’s recent return to Hollywood as a “publicity stunt” signaling their availability for business but noted the reluctance of top-tier Hollywood figures to align themselves with the royal pair.
Addressing the controversy surrounding “Endgame,” Borkowski expressed skepticism about Omid Scobie’s role, suggesting that the book appears designed to create discord and debate.
He remarked, “This guy knows how to create discourse and debate, and if he is the favored confidant of Harry and Meghan, it strikes me as another attempt from them through third or fourth-degree to cause as much mischief as possible.”
Criticism of the book’s content was also highlighted, with Borkowski noting, “People seem to think the book is pretty scurrilous with a lack of facts. This book is built for a wider audience, harnessing the soap opera of the relationship between the Sussexes and the royals.”
In assessing the broader public relations landscape, Borkowski suggested that the royal couple is not faring well in the PR war. He observed, “It is no good for Harry and Meghan because they continually lose the PR war.
In a war you need two combatants to fight it out, but there’s only one combatant fighting against themselves while the royals don’t react. That must frustrate them.”
