KARACHI: Elan, clothing brand, has decided to switch to digital world during the imposition of Section 144 in Sindh that has caused partial lockdown in Karachi.
The brand shared the decision on social media site Instagram that, “Government policy allowing, our stores in Gulberg Lahore and Clifton Karachi would operate normally and customers who would prefer to pick up their orders at one of the outlets are encouraged to set a time with our representatives at the numbers provided so that large crowds could be avoided in the interest of everyone.”
Meanwhile, online shopping brand- Daraz, has been posting to the customers to follow all guidelines issued to prevent coronavirus. The online retailer emailed, “We encourage our customers to follow the general guidelines and further safeguard themselves by washing their hands after receiving their packages.” Besides, the email says, “We are operating in line with advice from the World Health Organization and local authorities. We constantly make sure that all appropriate health and hygiene standards are adhered to.”
Since the imposition of Section 144, Dolmen Mall and the known eateries have announced shutdown. Bohra Dastarkhwan, a home-based eatery also posted on Facebook that, “As the world converges on a course of action to address the current global crisis, SOCIAL DISTANCING seems the best way to minimise any risk. However, we will be open for takeaway and if you are ordering from us be assured that we will be taking the best measures for hygiene.”
