Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry, on Monday, announced that Eid-ul-Azha is expected to fall on July 31.
The Federal Minister for Science and Technology took to social media to announce that this year Eid-ul-Azha shall be celebrated on July 31 as per the ministry’s own calendar.
“As per calendar of Ministry of Science and Technology Eid-Al-Adha shall be celebrated on Fiday, 31st July 2020,” he tweeted.
Fawad Chaudhry also mentioned that the ministry’s ‘Ruet’ app can be used to ascertain exact location of the moon.

Prior to this, Fawad Chaudhry had previously accurately predicted Eid-ul-Fitr to fall on May 24 last month.
The federal minister, on multiple occasions demanded the abolition of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee declaring it obsolete and irrelevant in modern era.
