Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated across the country on October 30th as first Rabiul Awwal will be observed on October 19th Monday next week.
Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman – Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on Saturday, announced that Rabiul Awwal moon was not sighted anywhere across Pakistan meaning 1st Rabiul Awwal will fall on Monday October 19th.
Meanwhile Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be observed on October 30th (Friday).
Eid Milad-un-Nabi is the observance of the birthday of Islamic prophet Muhammad which is commemorated on 12th Rabiul Awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar.
Eid Milad-un-Nabi also known as ‘Mawlid’ is recognized as a national holiday in most of the Muslim-majority countries of the world.
