Sindh government is likely to allow driving license branches in Karachi to reopen from June 27 (tomorrow).
As per the sources, license department has written to Sindh government for the final approval for Deputy Inspector General (DIG) driving license’s instructions of reopening the branches from Saturday June 27.
The development comes as driving branches in the metropolis have been closed for more than three months in wake of COVID-19 outbreak.
It is to be noted that licenses that were due to expire within these months were given especial exemptions and their validity was extended automatically by the license department amid to facilitate the public amid lockdown restrictions.

Prior to this National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), on June 1, had also reopened its off offices and regional headquarters, announcing that the offices will be operational five days a week, from Monday to Thursday between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and 10 am to 1 pm on Friday.
