The US dollar continues to gain ground against the Pakistani rupee on Thursday after a fresh appreciation.
According to details, the local currency depreciated by 8 paisa against the greenback which closed at Rs220.95 The rupee had closed at Rs220.88 on Wednesday, according to Pakistan’s central bank data.
However, despite the depreciation, the rupee has cumulatively recovered by Rs18.99 from its record low of Rs239.94 against the dollar.
