Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) – Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in a statement, clarified that defaming army is Nawaz Sharif’s own narrative and not that of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
In an interview with BBC Urdu, PPP Chairman clarified that PML-N founder Nawaz Sharif’s statements regarding army his decision to defame military leadership is his own narrative and PDM – the 11 party opposition alliance against PTI government.
Expressing his views on the establishment of PDM and PML-N’s anti-army stance, Bilawal Bhutto said that the political parties agreed against naming any institution or individual/s.
Was shocked to hear Nawaz Sharif’s Gujranwala directly inculpating army and its leadership, said PPP Chairman.
We are against name calling against institutions and individuals in public. Nawaz Sharif has his own party and we cannot control what he says in his speech, he added.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari added that the burden to produce evidence to back such claims falls upon Nawaz Sharif himself.
The development comes as earlier, PML-N supremo and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had made defaming remarks against Pakistan army and its leadership. Sharif had hurled accusations of conspiring and ousting him and election fraud in 2018 General Elections.
