Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), on Friday, gunned down five terrorists in Rajanpur District, Punjab.
According to CTD officials, CTD conducted a search operation in Rojhan area of Rajanpur district, Punjab.
During the search operation, security forces came under fire from terrorists who were hiding in the area, CTD personnel responded with effective retaliatory fire and neutralized all five terrorists.
Meanwhile significant cache of arms and ammunition along with an explosive device of 10-15 kilograms have been recovered from the militants.

Prior to this, five CTD personnel martyred in a gun battle in Chilas, Gilgit-Baltistan on July 28th. The CTD team was conducting a search operation in Ronai area of Chilas when they were ambushed by terrorists.
The firefight resulted in the martyrdom of five security personnel including Junaid, Shakeel, Sohrab, Ishtiaq and Ghulam Murtaza, along with two other civilians.
