Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Asim Saleem Bajwa, on Thursday, stated that CPEC projects have been unhindered by coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking at a contract signing ceremony in Taxila, Asim Saleem Bajwa said that the CPEC will generate numerous investment opportunities, create thousands of jobs and will essentially trigger a new era of economic progress in Pakistan.
“Foreign investment in Special Economic Zones will enhance job opportunities in the country,” he noted.

SAPM on Information and Broadcasting also revealed that projects worth Rs 12.5billion have been completed under Phase-I of CPEC, whereas worth up to Rs 14 billion are in the process of completion.
Special economic zones (SEZs) will be formed in provinces along with the laying of new railway tracks with a dry port in in Havelian, he added.
