Sindh government has imposed new COVID-19 restrictions directing shops to be closed by 6 pm in wake of increasing COVID-19 cases.
As per the new COVID-19 restrictions, broader lockdowns (BLDs) will be implemented in areas with more than 8 % COVID-19 positivity ratio.
All commercial, business activities and markets will be allowed to operate from Sehr to 6 pm in the evening.
Other notable restrictions include;
- No indoor dining, outdoor dining from Iftar till 11:59 pm
- Traveeh prayers with strict COVID-19 SOPs
- Shirnes, cinemas to remain closed
- Ban on contact sports, festivals etc
- Ban on marriage functions (indoor and outdoor)
- Ban on inter-provincial transport
Sindh reported 561 new COVID-19 cases along with three deaths during the past 24 hours. Provincial COVID-19 tally stands at 271,523 cases with 4,544 deaths so far.
