Punjab government on Monday, announced its decision to impose smart lockdown across province in areas with large number of COVID-19 cases.
Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar on Monday, said that Punjab government will impose smart lockdown directives in areas severely affected by COVID-19 coronavirus.
The decision to impose smart lockdown with high COVID-19 cases has been taken in public interest, he said.
Meanwhile, face masks have also been made mandatory in public places and local administrations have been directed to strictly ensure the implementation of COVID-19 preventive measures.
Punjab has reported second highest COVID-19 toll in the country with 106,922 cases and 2,408 deaths so far.
