COVID-19 positivity ratio has surpassed the grim six per cent mark in Sindh, says Advisor to CM Sindh Murtaza Wahab.
Sindh government Spokesperson Murtaza Wahab took to social media to reveal that COVID-19 positivity ratio in Sindh was recorded to be 6.6 per cent between Monday and Tuesday.
Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Law & Environment Murtaza Wahab urged the public to strictly adhere to COVID-19 SOPs to curb further spread of novel coronavirus.
“Moment to ponder people. Please wear masks,” he tweeted.
As per details, 521 COVID-19 cases were reported on Tuesday over a 24-hour time period with a 6.6 per cent positivity ratio.
COVID-19 death toll in Sindh stands at 2,639 with a fatality ratio of around 1.8 per cent, said Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday.
Murtaza Wahab also reiterated the significance of peoples’ cooperation in the implementation of government SOPs and guidelines to tackle the prevailing second coronavirus wave.
The development comes as earlier, National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) issued new directives and guidelines to tackle second COVID-19 case.
As per the new guidelines, markets, shopping malls, restaurants and shopping malls are directed to be closed at 10 pm sharp to tackle increasing coronavirus cases.
