National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has mulled over re-imposing restrictions on schools, weddings and other indoor activities amid increasing COVID-19 cases in the country.
As per details, NCOC meeting commenced on Monday (today) under Federal Minister for Planning – Asad Umar, reviewed the current COVID-19 situation in the country and ruminated over restrictions regarding indoor activities amid increasing cases.
The NCOC officials also considered deferring the opening of cinemas and other indoor activities such as weddings and dine-in at restaurants which are scheduled to re-open from March 15th.
The Forum also decided to revisit school opening modalities in the prevailing rising trend of positivity in its next session.
Meanwhile, Punjab government has banned co-curricular activities in wake of increasing COVID-19 cases in the province.

No co-curricular activity (i.e. sports etc.) shall be conducted in those districts where COVID-19 positivity ratio is more than 20 cases i.e. Lahore Gujrat, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Sialkot, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad subject to resumption of normalcy of educational activities, read the notification issued by School Education Department Government of Punjab.
