National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) on Tuesday, issued new directives and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for marriage halls in the country amid increasing COVID-19 cases.
As per details, NCOC has issued new instructions to provincial chief secretaries and health secretaries regarding SOPs and guidelines for marriage halls.
The new guidelines, SOPs will be implemented in 20 major cities of the country starting from November 20th.
According to the new directives, outdoor marriage activities up to 1,000 guests will be allowed in 16 cities.
Meanwhile, indoor marriages will be limited to 300 guests, whereas 500 guests will be allowed to attend outdoor events in four cities.
It is to be noted that marriage hall owners have opposed NCOC’s decision to ban indoor events amid increasing COVID-19 cases in the country.
They have ensured full cooperation in strict implementation of COVID-19 SOPs and preventive measures.
