ISLAMABAD: The national positivity ratio of Pakistan surpassed 7% after over 2,500 cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
According to the data issued by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), Pakistan’s positivity ratio has been recorded to be 7.1 % as 35,303 tests were conducted in the country in the last 24 hours, out of which 2,511 came back positive.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 positivity ratio in Islamabad is around 7.7%, said the District Health Officer (DHO). The DHO confirmed that 414 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.
Pakistan’s COVID-19 tally stands at 609,964. Province-wise distribution of COVID-19 cases show that Islamabad has reported 48,495 cases; AJ&K – 11,089; Balochistan – 19,233; Gilgit Baltistan – 4,961; KP – 76,379; Punjab – 188,225 and 261,582 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Sindh so far.
Furthermore , Pakistan has reported 13,595 COVID-19 related deaths so far. Sindh has reported 4,461 COVID-19 deaths; Punjab – 5,812; KP – 2,169; Islamabad – 526; Balochistan – 202; Gilgit Baltistan – 103 and 322 deaths in AJ&K.
During the past 24 hours, Pakistan reported 58 COVID-19 deaths, with the most casualties reported in Punjab followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
