International travelers will now be required to present COVID-19 vaccine proof upon their arrival in Pakistan.
As per details, National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), has decided to implement new COVID-19 SOPs requiring inbound international travelers to present COVID-19 vaccination proof upon their arrival in the country.
Those who travelled from abroad would have to provide a legal document confirming that they had been vaccinated, said the official statement.
The decision to implement new coronavirus SOPs was made during an NCOC meeting which was attended by various federal and provincial ministers, officials.
International passengers already go through COVID-19 screening upon landing in Pakistan.
The new additional COVID-19 SOPs are aimed at tackling new coronavirus strain discovered in United Kingdom and South Africa.
