Sindh government has announced to extend its province wide coronavirus lockdown directives till August 15.
According to the notification issued by Sindh Home Department, COVID-19 lockdown directives in the province have been extended till August 15.
“In continuation of the order of July 1st 2020 and for the same reasons recorded therein, the Government of Sindh in exercise of powers under Section 3 (1) of the Sindh Epidemic Diseases Act 2014 (The Sindh Act VIII of 2015) hereby extends the above said order in line with the discussions at National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) and the decision at the last meeting of National Coordination Committee (NCC),” read the notification issued by Sindh Home Department.
As per the prevailing restrictions, complete lockdown will be implemented on weekends, whereas business hours will be restricted from 6 am to 7 pm, and only pharmacies will be exempted from these restrictions.
Restaurants and eateries will only be allowed to offer take away services between 6 am to 7 pm, and home delivery from 7 pm to 11 pm as dine-in services will remain suspended across the province.

Karachi has been epicenter of coronavirus outbreak in the province as currently 11 neighborhoods of the metropolitan city have been placed under ‘smart lockdown’ to further curb the virus spread.
