Punjab Health Minister – Dr. Yasmeen Rashid, has announced that 25 patients have recovered from COVID-19 who was being treated at Mayo Hospital, Lahore.
Talking to the press, the provincial minister said that around 168 COVID-19 patients have recovered in various hospitals in Lahore, while the total number of recovered patients in the province has risen to 650.
A total of 52,500 coronavirus tests have been conducted in the province, of which 3,410 came out positive. Currently Punjab 2,686 active cases with 37 casualties so far.
Two women test positive after returning from India
Additionally, two women out of 41 people, who recently returned from India, have tested positive for the novel virus.
Around 41 Pakistani nationals were stranded in India and were recently repatriated back to Pakistan via Wagah Border on April 16.
As a precautionary measure, 34 of them were quarantined at Lahore’s Expo Centre while seven were kept at the Sheikh Zaid Hospital upon arrival.
Pakistan has reported a total of 7,516 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 143 deaths and 1,832 recoveries so far.
