Lahore: A 25-year old female, who previously tested positive for COVID-19 has fled from Jinnah hospital Lahore./
According to the medical superintendent of Jinnah hospital Lahore, a 24-year old patient was admitted in high dependency unit after being diagnosed with novel coronavirus.
Hospital administration has reached out to police to find and secure the patient so that she may not pass the infection to the people around her.
Earlier, a suspect of coronavirus who escaped from a quarantine in Lahore was apprehended by a team of police and health department at the river Jhelum Bridge near Khushab. In another incident the quarantined pilgrims in Sukkur – Sindh, broke out of quarantine staged an anti-government protest due to lack of basic facilities at the quarantine centre.
Pakistan has reported a total of 1,118 confirmed coronavirus cases with eight casualties so far, provincial governments have imposed strict lockdown to curb the virus spread.
