Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, on Tuesday, has been discharged from the combined military hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi.
Speaking to a morning show at a private news channel, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi revealed that he has been discharged from CMH Rawalpindi after being treated for COVID-19 coronavirus.
Expressing his views on the quality of treatment available in Pakistani hospitals, FM Qureshi reiterated his satisfaction and belief in Pakistani healthcare system.
“Our doctors, hospitals and paramedics are no less than anyone else,” he noted.
In addition to it, the foreign minister revealed that he was given ‘plasma treatment’ at CMH Rawalpindi due to which his condition stabilized and improved drastically.
Upon questioned regarding his coronavirus status, Shah Mahmood Qureshi stated that he is self-isolating in his residence awaiting his COVID-19 test results.

Prior to this, Pakistan’s Foreign Office, on July 9, had strongly condemned and refuted false and ‘mischievous’ Indian propaganda regarding Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s health, claiming his demise due to coronavirus.
It is to be noted that FM Qureshi, on July 3 had announced that he was infected with COVID-19 coronavirus, and was moved to CMH Rawalpindi last week.
