A complete strike is being observed in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) on the 12th martyrdom anniversary of Sheikh Abdul Aziz today.
Upon All Parties Hurriyat Conference’s appeal, a complete shutdown is being observed in the disputed valley of Jammu and Kashmir on 12th martyrdom anniversary of slain Kashmiri hurriyat leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz on August 11th today.
Sheikh Abdul Aziz was shot dead by Indian troops while he was leading a march from Srinagar to the Line of Control on August 11, 2008 against the economic persecution of the Kashmir Valley by Hindu extremists.
Senior Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Gilani also paid homage to Sheikh Abdul Aziz urging all Kashmiris to commemorate the slain leader’s martyrdom anniversary as symbolic gesture against illegal Indian occupation and atrocities.
Meanwhile, Indian government fearing mass anti-India protests, has further intensified lockdown restrictions across the valley with additional troops deployment to prevent demonstrations and public gatherings.
