Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and General Umit DUNDAR – Commander Turkish Land Forces have agreed to further enhance bilateral military cooperation between the two countries, reported ISPR on Monday.
According to the military’s media wing, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa met with his Turkish counterpart at General Headquarters (GHQ).
Upon arrival, Commander Turkish Land Forces was presented with a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned out military contingent.
During the meeting, the two dignitaries mulled over matters of mutual and professional interest with special emphasis on defence and security collaboration.
Army Chief General Bajwa reiterated that Pakistan highly values its brotherly relations with Turkey.
Both sides agreed to further optimize military to military ties particularly in training and counter-terrorism domains.
Turkish military commander appreciated Pakistan Army’s role for regional peace and stability and contributions towards defeating terrorism.
