Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa met with his Saudi Counterpart General Fayiadh Bin Hamed Al Rowaily – Chief of General Staff (CGS) Saudi Armed Forces and mulled over bilateral relations and security cooperation between the two countries.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two mulled over matters of mutual interest, regional security situation including Afghan Peace Process, defence and security and military to military cooperation during the meeting.
The Army Chief accentuated the need to further enhance military to military cooperation between the two Armed Forces and said that Pak-Saudi cooperation will have positive impact on peace and security in the region.
Meanwhile, CGS General Fayiadh Bin Hamed Al Rowaily expressed gratitude to COAS General Bajwa and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s full cooperation and support improving regional cooperation, peace and stability.
It is to be noted that COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa landed in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday a day earlier. He is expected to hold meetings with civilian and military leadership over the course of his official visit to the kingdom.
