Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday, directed army to remain vigilant in wake of recent terror incidents in the country.
COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday, visited Upper Dir and Malakand Division to review stabilization operations and border management. Upon arrival General Bajwa was received by Corps Commander Peshawar Lieutenant General Noman Mehmood.
In a statement, COAS General Bajwa reiterated Pakistan Army’s commitment and resolve towards tackling the scourge of terrorism in order to ensure lasting peace and stability in the country.
Army Chief highlighted that terrorists targeted children in attack on Army Public School on December 16th 2014; and again on October 27th 2020 a day earlier, on the occasion of Kashmir Black Day.
The Army Chief directed his troops to exercise vigilance in wake of recent terror attacks in the country that resulted in several civilian casualties.
General Bajwa lauded nation’s undeterred courage and resolve in wake of terrorist attacks on innocent civilians.
“We are united, and together we will tackle this threat,” he said.
Furthermore, he expressed solidarity and offered condolences to students, faculty, and victims’ families affected by the Peshawar blast that targeted a religious seminary on Tuesday a day earlier.
Expressing his views on Afghan Peace Process, General Bajwa accentuated Pakistan’s continuous efforts and progressive role to ensure peace and stability in Afghanistan.
