Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa chaired Corps Commanders Conference (CCC) at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), COAS General Bajwa presided over a Corps Commanders Conference at GHQ on Tuesday.
During the meeting matters of geo-strategic situation and national security issues were discussed along with external and internal threats to the country.
“Forum appreciated the progress of Afghan Reconciliation Process and hoped for early commencement of intra Afghan dialogue,” said the statement issued by ISPR.
Furthermore, General Bajwaexpressed satisfaction on operational preparedness of formations and appreciated efforts in aid of civil administration to contain COVID-19 pandemic and Locust threat.

COAS also directed army officials to ensure full cooperation with civil administration on public safety and security concerns during Muharram.
In addition to it, the Army Chief commended timely response to recent flood situation in various areas of Sindh and Balochistan especially the adequate response to address the urban flooding issue in Karachi due to recent monsoon spell.
