Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has stressed upon the need and significance of better management of western zone during his visit to Corps Headquarters Mangla, reported ISPR on Thursday (today).
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), upon arrival Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa was received by Commander Mangla Corps – Lieutenant General Shaheen Mazher Mehmood.
COAS was briefed about operational preparedness, training and administrative matters of the Corps and was also apprised of the ongoing Corps War Games aimed at evaluating operational plans in wake of the emerging battlefield challenges.
COAS praised the performance and dedication of Strike Corps formations for undertaking innovative futuristic training.
Addressing the garrison officers, General Bajwa highlighted regional environment and its implications on Pakistan’s security. He accentuated the need to stay abreast of the evolving situation and never lower our guard whatsoever.
Expressing his views on Afghan Peace Process, the Army Chief stressed upon the significance of border security and management.
Referring to the national effort against COVID-19, COAS commended all ranks for their all-out support to civil administration in ensuring public safety and wellbeing.
