Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa met with senior Qatari commander at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi, reported ISPR on Wednesday (today).
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Major General Saeed Hassen Mohammad Al-Khayareen – Commander Qatar Emiri Land Forces called on COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday today.
Upon arrival at GHQ, the visiting dignitary was presented with the Guard of Honor by a Pakistan Army contingent. The Qatari commander also laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada at GHQ followed by his meeting with the Pakistan’s Army Chief.
During the meeting, matters of mutual and professional interest, regional security situation including Afghan Peace Process and enhanced bilateral defence and security cooperation were discussed, said ISPR.
Meanwhile Major General Saeed Hassen Mohammad Al-Khayareen – Commander Qatar Emiri Land Forces, lauded Pakistan Army’s notable efforts for regional peace.
The visiting dignitary accentuated that Pakistan and Qatar share brotherly relations which over a period of time are transforming into mutually beneficial ties.
Army Chief expressed his gratitude to Qatari commander and noted that Pakistan Army greatly values its brotherly relations with its time-tested friend.
