Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Lt Gen Faiz Hamid – Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (DG ISI) called upon Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday (today) to mull over issues pertaining to internal and regional security.
As per details, the high-level meeting included a comprehensive briefing given to top civilian and military leadership on various issues regarding Pakistan’s internal security and regional threats.
No further details have been released regarding the high-level meeting.
It is to be noted that this is fifth such meeting between top civilian and military brass in the last 70 days.
Prior to this, the trio had met on February 1st last month to discuss ‘internal and external security issues’ according to the statement issued by Prime Minister’s Office.
The meeting was a follow-up of Machh incident and relevant efforts made to apprehend the culprits behind it. The meeting also discussed situation along the Line of Control (LoC) with India.
