Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi on Tuesday (today) met with Rear Admiral Subhan Bakirov – Commander Azerbaijan Naval Forces (ANF) at Naval Headquarters Islamabad.
According to the statement issued by DGPR Pakistan Navy, Commander Azerbaijan Naval Forces was received by Pakistan Navy Chief CNS Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi. The visiting dignitary was presented with a guard of honor by smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy.
During the meeting, the two navy chiefs mulled over matters of mutual interest including bilateral collaboration and regional security. Both the dignitaries agreed on further enhancing mutual interactions in diversified naval domains

Commander Azerbaijan Naval Forces Rear Admiral Subhan Bakirov lauded Pakistan Navy’s efforts and commitments in support of collaborative maritime security in the region.
During his visit to Naval Headquarters, the Azeri commander was also briefed on Pakistan Navy’s roles & objectives and contributions toward peace and stability in the region.
Rear Admiral Subhan Bakirov also laid floral wreath at the Shuhada’s Monument and was introduced to the Principal Staff Officers at Naval Headquarters. The visiting dignitary is also scheduled to visit Karachi and Lahore to have interaction with Field Commanders of Pakistan Navy and visit Pakistan Navy Training institutes.
