CNG stations all across Sindh have been closed for a week from today till July 29th due to severe gas shortage in the province.
In a statement, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced that CNG stations in Sindh will remain closed for a period of seven days from June 22nd to June 29th in wake of gas shortfall and low gas pressure in the province.
Meanwhile, CNG Association official Ghayas Paracha has rejected SSGC’s decision terming it as institutional incompetence of the state-run gas supplier.
CNG stations will now reopen at 8 am on June 29th.

The development comes as Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices have been increased by Rs 6.09 per kilogram. LPG is now being sold at Rs 156.09 per kilogram with domestic cylinder will now cost Rs 1,840 after an increase of Rs 72, whereas a commercial cylinder has now being sold at Rs 7,040 after a price hike of Rs 276.
The 2021-22 budget recently gave rise to concerns about a price hike for CNG due to a proposed general sales tax on LNG by the government.
