Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar has tested positive for COVID-19 coronavirus
As per the statement issued by CM Punjab Usman Buzdar’s media team on Monday, CM Usman Buzdar has tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday (today).
The chief minister has gone into self-isolation after he registered COVID-19 symptoms including fever and cough.
Prior to this, Federal Minister for Planning and Development – Asad Umar had also contracted COVID-19 on Friday last week.
Punjab has reported second highest COVID-19 tally in Pakistan with 131,933 cases.
Pakistan has recorded 458,968 COVID-19 cases with 9,392 deaths so far. A total of 409,085 people have successfully recovered from the virus whereas 2,403 are still in critical condition.
A total of 1,792 COVID-19 cases and 62 deaths were reported in the country during last 24 hours.
