“I am happy that the rest of the provinces decided to implement this. There are exceptions [to the lockdown], but they are calculated ones.”
Earlier, PM Khan had declared that the limitations imposed by the government on social gatherings, congregations and the opening of educational institutes would stay set up for an additional two weeks.
“At first we did not understand why the construction industry needed to be opened, but then the prime minister explained that it is the second largest sector in Pakistan, and is crucial to the economy of the country,” he said.
He further added that provinces and the federal government had needed to open certain businesses but we strictly restricted the tailor, plumbers and electricians to open their business In any case, we conceded that plumbers and electricians, that visit homes under the working standard operating procedure (SOPs) gave by the administration, will be allowed to work.
