Renowned religious scholar and cleric, Maulana Adil was gunned down along with his driver in Karachi on Saturday (today).
Maulana Adil – principal Jamia Farooqia, was targeted by unknown gunmen in Karachi’s Shah Faisal Colony area near Shama Shoppping Center on Saturday.

Both Maulana Adil and his driver are said to have died in the attack.
According to SSP Korangi Faisal Chachar police has recovered multiple shell casings from the scene of the crime and further forensic investigation is underway.
The police is also in process of collecting CCTV footages from the nearby shops.
Maulana Adil was also a faculty member of Jamia Dar Jamia Darul Uloom Karachi – largest seminary of Deobandi sect in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has termed the incident as an attempt to damage law and order situation in the city.
