KARACHI: Angry mob attacked police when they arrived to disperse the crowd at a Friday prayer congregation held in the vicinity of Liaquatabad against the directives of Sindh government.
The area presented a view of lawless mob at large who attacked the police. Sindh government has strictly prohibited all such activities due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Sindh is undergoing a strict lockdown in line with the social distancing and isolation regulations foretold to save the society from the spread of the deadly pathogen which has wreaked havoc globally.
The police met with opposition from the worshippers when they tried to detain the cleric holding the prayers. The mob acted on clerics call for help.
