General Nadeem Raza – Pakistan’s Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) has been bestowed with ‘Legion of Merit’ – Turkey’s highest military award, by the Turkish government.
As per details, CJCSC General Nadeem Raza while on his official visit to Turkey, was awarded with ‘Legion of Merit’ in an investiture ceremony held in Ankara.
During his visit to Turkey, General Nadeem Raza Turkey’s Minister of National Defence General Hulusi Akar (Retd) and mulled over bilateral relations and security cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, both sides discussed variety of issues including security, counter-terrorism, and the prevailing regional environment, particularly with reference to Afghanistan.
CJCSC General Nadeem Raza also visited Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) and held separate meetings with the Commander of the Turkish Armed Forces and Chiefs of the tri-services General Yasar Guler.
Meanwhile, Turkish leadership praised Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.
