Outgoing Ambassador of People’s Republic of China to Pakistan – Yao Jing on Thursday, lauded Pakistan’s success against COVID-19 pandemic.
In his farewell meeting with Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Yao Jing lauded Pakistan’s successful approach and policies against coronavirus outbreak in the country.
The Chinese envoy expressed his gratitude to Dr Hafeez Shaikh for his cooperation and collaboration with Chinese government on various issues.
Furthermore, Mr Ambassador noted that the world must learn from Pakistan for its successful strategies and policies which prevented severe repercussions of COVID-19 outbreak as compared to other countries.
Meanwhile, Shaikh acknowledged China’s continuing progressive role and support for Pakistan, and Mr Jing’s service and contribution in further strengthening Pak-China bilateral ties during his tenure.
Dr Hafeez Shaikh highlighted that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) holds key significance for Pakistan and that such ambitious project is an inspiration for the world.
Moreover, the outgoing ambassador was presented a shield by Hafeez Shaikh as a token of gratitude from Finance Division acknowledging former’s invaluable service as Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan over the years.
