The Agha Khan University Hospital (AKUH) has launched a free of cost child healthcare helpline by the name of ‘Child Connect’
The Child Connect helpline can be utilized by parents to gain essential guidelines and help in case of health emergencies for their children.
Furthermore, the helpline directly connects parents with renowned and well-respected childcare specialists to address their queries and provide substantive diagnosis and further recommendations for their child’s health.
The Child Connect helpline can be reached at 021-111-911-911 from Monday to Saturday between 8am to 8pm.
In addition to it, the helpline will also provide a comprehensive treatment plan, along with required treatment and essential appointment schedules and even emergency care to parents for their children.

Dr Abdul Gaffar Billoo – professor emeritus at the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health, AKUH, has said that the COVID-19 pandemic has made it difficult to secure doctor appointments and parents have been facing severe difficulty in addressing any medical emergency due to the virus outbreak.
The Child Connect helpline will however, facilitate parents in accessing medical help and guidelines for their child, he added.
