Meanwhile responding to network and internet connectivity issues in Karachi, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has cited precautionary security measures taken by government and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) as the primary reason for cellular network availability issue in the city.
In addition to it, PTA also acknowledged that the city’s cellular network has been severely affected by heavy rains and recent urban flooding as several mobile towers are damaged and are still inundated in rain water.
The situation has been further compounded with underground internet and telecommunications lines being damaged, along with prolonged power outages in the metropolitan city which have also affected telecommunications tower operations.
